Why drink alkaline water?
We often hear that alkaline water is synonymous with good health. But what is this claim based on? It’s simpler than it seems. For the human body to stay healthy, it needs to maintain a stable blood pH level of around 7.4. When pH levels drop below 7.36, it indicates acidity in the body.
In short, multiple factors of modern life contribute to the acidification of our blood: stress, exposure to environmental toxins (such as pollution and pesticides), and diets high in acidifying foods (with pH levels below 7). It has been widely demonstrated that an acidic environment in the body increases the risk of developing diseases, including cancer, gastric and kidney disorders, and other health conditions. Simply put, when the body is acidic, it becomes more vulnerable to illness.
This is where alkaline water plays a key role. The higher the water’s pH level, the lower its molecular acidity. This means that alkaline water helps reduce oxidative stress, promoting a healthy balance in the blood and cells of our body. That is precisely where its great impact on human well-being lies.
When consumed, alkaline water helps reduce acidification levels caused by the factors mentioned above, assisting in restoring the body’s pH balance. Its benefits are both preventive and complementary in the treatment of various health conditions. It is not a miraculous cure, but it is a key factor in a lifestyle that promotes health and well-being.
At Water Mart we actively promote the benefits of alkaline water and invite everyone to join this great movement to revitalize the body and health through something as simple and powerful as choosing the right water.
